There are many benefits to having your car detailed. Especially at Newcastle Detailing. Some of these are not always obvious, but none the less valuable in the long term.
The interior of a car is one of the harshest environments that we come in contact with on a regular basis. Temperatures can soar to well over 60 degrees Celsius in Summer and to far below -10 degrees Celsius in Winter. The materials that the vehicles are made from are designed to handle extreme climates but not without regular cleaning and maintenance. Surfaces such as Leather have a tendency to dry out over time in Australia’s intense heat. So, cleaning and conditioning is mandatory to prolong the look and feel for as long as possible.
The seats themselves may also fade and using a fabric protectant will actually help to slow this process down. The hard surfaces of the dash and door trims etc can reach temperatures so high it is unbearable to hold them and the steering wheel for any length of time. Protecting these places are mandatory to prevent fading and indeed cracking of these expensive components.
The glass and mirrors on a car are often forgotten but can be very important when the weather becomes inclement. Properly cleaned and polished glass will allow the water to bead and run off all the external glass and mirrors. We all know when the rain is heavy it can be almost impossible to see out because of the water collecting on the windscreen, side glass and external mirrors. The wipers do most of the hard work but for the rest of the vehicle …you want that water off there as fast as possible.
Inside the car it is also important as the windscreen and door glass often fog up in these conditions requiring you to at least adjust the heater/air conditioner ( which is not the greatest idea at this point), or worse forcing you to reach for something to actually wipe the screen to remove the fogging. Most polishes have an antifogging capacity built into them eliminating the need to distract you at a time you need all your facilities on the job.
As the main focus of our attention, our cars paintwork should always be maintained regularly by washing and less frequently, polishing the surface. The benefits of doing this for any vehicle you plan to keep for an extended period of time can be monstrous. Not only can you save yourself the exorbitant costs having your car resprayed, but it will also ensure the market value of the car is maintained, far outweighing the costs involved with regular attention to the paintwork. The polishes or sealants have a UV protection component to their makeup. So once applied not only will dirt and grime have less effect but so will the harsh rays from the sun and chemical contact through pollution and rainfall.

The wheels and tyres add significantly to the overall look of a Car detail and generally make sure that WOW factor is there. The protectant does actually have a benefit for the tyres, but this is small and not anywhere near the impact that having them clean and shiny makes to how you feel about the car.
Making sure the vehicle is smelling fresh completes the picture so that when you sit in the car it reminds you of how clean it is.
The satisfaction you get from driving a beautifully clean car is second only to driving that brand-new car out of the dealership. However, it is one of those feelings we can give you far more often than having to buy a new car. So, come in and see us at Newcastle Detailing to regain that love for your car.
